Marina is a native of Cordoba, Argentina.  She began her career there in a variety of jobs with hotels, tour operators and travel agencies, earning Senior Management positions while going to school at the same time.  After graduating with a degree from Cordoba’s Tourism and Hospitality College, Mrs. Zabala immediately began pursuing a long-held dream to experience Mexico. .

After arriving in Mexico in 2000, she worked at several small boutique hotels on the Riviera Maya, and took advantage of opportunities to travel abroad on several occasions.   Marina joined IVI Destination Management in 2004 as a Program Manager, earning promotion two years later to the Corporate Marketing Team.  Demonstrating a strong work ethic and an exceptional ability to train and motivate people, she was promoted again as Planning & Events Manager  at the IVI’s planning team in 2007. In May 2010 Marina prepared her luggage and moved back to South America with her family, today she is part of Eduardo's Team at IVI South America and strengthens this Destination as Business and Operations Manager.

If you are an IVI client, it is very likely you had or you will meet Marina.  And even if you do not, virtually every client event benefits from the personal touch and experience she provides.   In addition to focusing her team and IVI resources on client events, Marina listens to clients to make sure IVI knows exactly what to deliver, conducts site inspections, organizes fam trips, and prepares customized proposals. 

She loves spending time with her family and friends, reading and enjoying life.  In the eyes of her IVI Mexican co-workers, she only has one big fault:  Marina is a loyal and noisy fan of Argentina’s national football team,
