It's Mexico's largest inhabited island, located 20 kilometers off the eastern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula across from Playa del Carmen.

 Activities and Attractions

In addition to diving, snorkeling, and sport fishing, island marinas offer windsurfing, water skiing, jetskiing, kitesurfing, sailing, and even an underwater tour on a real submarine.

Chankanaab Park has a variety of attractions, including a cenote and a botanical garden.

Another attraction on the island is the San Gervasio archaeological site.

Other options include the Cozumel Country Club and its 18-hole golf course, Isla de la Pasion, horseback riding, ATV jungle tours, the island's museum, and the Faro Celarain Ecological park.

San Miguel de Cozumel has excellent shopping and restaurants.
