Personal Favorites
Local Attraction – Xel-Ha. This magnificent bio-park has been described as one of the seven new natural wonders of the world, and I totally agree. It’s a water wonderland that by itself is worth a trip to Mexico.
Recreational Activity – Playing golf at Iberostar. This isn’t your usual flat-as-a-pool table dull and boring golf course. Its hills and valleys terrain makes it a challenging course that’s really fun to play.
Restaurant – La Habichuela Sunset. One of the oldest restaurants in Cancun recently opened a new branch at Cancun-s Hotel zone. It’s a popular casual dining spot for good reasons. It offers traditional Mexican food and Caribbean seafood in a really nice Lagoon setting.
Local Tour – I love the all-day tour to Xplor. It has easy to demanding adventures, from driving amphibious vehicles through the jungle to exciting ziplines between the highest canopy towers in Latin America.
Local Event – The Playa del Carmen Jazz Festival held every fall. Jazz greats from all over the world come to perform, and the event becomes a giant beach party.
